Cancellation and Refund Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
Contact ITA Local Courier as soon as possible to cancel or change a confirmed job. Include the booking reference so the request can be identified.
Email a cancellation or change request
Before booking acceptance
A pending booking request can be withdrawn without charge. A quote, availability result, automated acknowledgement or payment-session creation does not by itself mean the booking has been accepted.
After booking acceptance
If you cancel after the booking has been accepted, any amount retained will be limited to a fair and proportionate amount for work already supplied, time reasonably committed to the accepted job and non-refundable costs actually incurred because of the booking. It is not an automatic cancellation penalty. Any balance due back to you will be refunded.
If you ask to change the collection, destination, timing, stops, item details or another material part of an accepted booking, ITA Local Courier will confirm whether the change can be accommodated and whether the price changes before additional chargeable work is carried out where practicable.
Consumer right to cancel distance service contracts
Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a statutory cancellation period for a service booked at a distance, those rights are not excluded by this policy.
If you expressly ask ITA Local Courier to start providing the service during that statutory cancellation period and then cancel before the service is complete, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to the time you cancel, where permitted by law.
If the service is fully performed during the statutory cancellation period after your express request to start early and your acknowledgement that you will lose the cancellation right once the service is fully performed, the statutory right to cancel may end when the service is completed.
ITA Local Courier cancellation
If ITA Local Courier cancels an accepted booking and cannot provide an agreed alternative, amounts paid for the part of the service that will not be provided will be refunded. This does not limit any additional statutory remedy that may apply.
Failed collection or delivery
If a collection or delivery cannot be completed because information is incorrect, access is unavailable or the sender or recipient is not available, any return or redelivery charge will be reasonable and proportionate. Additional work will be agreed before it is undertaken where practicable.
Refund method and timing
Refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method. Statutory refunds will be made within the period required by law; other agreed refunds will be processed without unreasonable delay. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the credit after it has been issued.
